i just love Greg Gutfeld on Red-Eye.  Other than Bill Oreilly, he is one of a VERY few news commentators that ever gets ‘it’ right.  here is his views on NoBombus..

I say to all of you: Stop being a bunch of pussies and be happy you pretty much own the air waves.

And as for you Obama, stop acting like a kid who complains to the principal because a teacher gave you a 98 instead of a perfect grade. Be thrilled with having the entire media - except us - in the tank for you. Seriously, you don't need blind obedience among everyone with a laminated I. D to win.

So Obama, if you`re expecting people here to kiss your ass, you`ll need to head over to MSNBC. I hear there`s a guy over there with a thrill up his leg dying to give you a sponge bath.

My opinion on the economy and the $700B rescue package.

Why is our government bothering with buying back 'our' stocks and bonds etc, to save our economy?  They can do it much faster and much cheaper than spending 700 billion dollars we don't have! How about this.. give every American.. man, woman, child born before 6 Oct 2008.. 3 million dollars.. outright, no taxes, no questions, no guff.   The IRS has everyone's bank account number, they can give the money to them directly, everyone else, they can mail them a check based on what they filed on their taxes.  What would this do u ask?  Well, how about giving the FOLKS the money to pay off their mortgages.. or buy homes they couldn't afford.. hmm. That would sure heal up the housing market with a huge boost.. the FOLKS could also buy a new car.. because we know Detroit is the next 'crisis' coming.. wow, that would heal the sagging automotive industry in THIS country.  And with the rest of their money.. they can go buy stocks THEY want, buy more consumer goods, pay off all their credit card bills, etc.  and what would that do u ask?  Well, the stock market would be stronger, businesses would show a major increase in sales/profits, so they could hire more people to handle all the extra work (creating jobs), the credit card companies would have to lower their interest rates and make them more competitive instead of gouging people who can't pay their gas, electric, and food bills and with any luck at all, drive credit cards out of business altogether.  You have to look at that as a good thing.  Become a cash-only country, which would mean stop giving our money to foreign aid.. if the FOLKS want to give to Africans and Pakistanis and starving kids in Ethiopia, then let them!  But the U.S.A. as a 'COUNTRY' should not be supporting all the little guys with one hand out to us and using the other to point  a gun at us!!  And if our politicians that we have stupidly elected can not figure this out, then it's time to vamp our electoral process.  For too long now, our political economy has been overridden with corruption, apathy, and avarice.  The founding fathers certainly had no idea America would grow as it has, nor did they have a clue how corrupted government would become.. this is evident in 'who' the founding fathers were.. racists, bigots, slave-owners. 

I just thought someone should bring up this idea, since all anyone wants to do is spend 'our' money, so why not give it back to the people who gave it to begin with??

another month, another dollar

well some good and some bad news this time.  finally got a decision from the VA.. denied again! argh.. more bad news is i haven’t been able to contact my attorneys on this case.. no answer to phone calls or email.. don’t know what the f* is going on with them.. sigh.

the good news is i had my bladder hammock surgery and all went very well.  couldn’t tinkle on my own though, so had to wear a bag home.. but it comes out on thursday, 16^th, and hopefully, i’ll be able to tinkle on my own by then.  if not, they are gonna show me how to self-catherterize.. yuck.  so gonna drink LOTS of water, tea, etc before my appointment and hopefully have a full bladder by the time they take my bag off.

My daughter has surgery coming up on Tuesday, 14^th, on her knee.  am praying she gets through it ok, she has a problem with her blood K factor is too high, so she has to take blood thinners.. which can be dangerous during surgery, it’s possible she could bleed out.  but she’s a strong kid and should get through it hunky dory.   please keep her in ur prayers tho. 

that’s it for now.  the cats are still doin great, they are staying fat and happy, and now that the weather is cooling off even more, they seem to be waiting for the snow!! they’ve never seen it before of course, neither has mr nibbles, so it will be a treat for them.

It’s just amazing to me how time flies so fast these days.. is already Sept and i haven’t posted anything here in two months! wow.  Not that there is much to tell.   My sister is still staying drunk and/or stoned on crack every other day, left 16 hateful nasty messages on my cell phone, so i had to change my number again.  She’s lost her mind totally this time, and i don’t really think she’ll ever get back to ‘normal’.  I know it’s the drugs and her high blood pressure, and she won’t go to a doctor, so every day her brain is frying more and more.. like the egg in those drug commercials.. I keep her in my prayers that God will get the Devil off her back, but so far, he still has a powerful grip on her. 

Anyway, back to here.  Haven’t done much sight-seeing yet, but after i get through with all my doctor appointments at the VA, i hope to be able to get out more soon.  I have a minor surgery scheduled for next month, and that will, i hope, fix a problem i have with going anywhere far from a bathroom.  

My daughter had her 32^nd birthday couple weeks ago.  She’s doing much better since her surgery and no sign of any more cancer.   She finally got a divorce from her ex and has shared custody of her boys.  They are getting so big!  I have some new pic to post on their web sites and i’ll do that soon.  My oldest gson, Charlie, now has his own MySpace, and he’s having a blast setting it up and such with a lot of help from his mom of course.  Now he can keep in touch with all his school friends online when he’s not in school.  Seems most of his 2^nd grade class is on MySpace.. laffin.  They grow up so fast!

well, tis all for now.  Keep emailing me those great poems, jokes and of course, all the political stuff!  I’m glad JMc picked a woman for his vp, so far i think she has all the ‘right’ stuff!   only two more months to get them elected, so make sure u vote in November!!!!!  Huggggggglez and God Bless!

 

well it has been another long stretch since my last posting.. as u can see, not much goes on in my life that i want to put online for all to see.   my sister is still giving me grief.. i have 14 saved voicemails from her cussing me out, calling me names, (the same names she calls her daughters-so i’m in good company-lol), and attacking my kids.. she keeps that up, she’ll wind up in Hell for sure.  i’ve never attacked her kids or how she raised em, nor have i ever cussed at my daughter the way she cusses at hers.. oh well, wut goes around comes around as they say, and her karma is in really bad shape right now. 

other than that, is just routine around here.  i’ve been going to the VA a lot, getting new doctors, tests, etc.. probably gonna schedule some surgery in a few months to tie some things back up where they belong.  nothing major.  My daughter just had major surgery last month, but she’s doing very well now except for slicing one finger, burning another, and banging up her leg again.. so accident prone. lol.  And she’s getting so OLD too.. laffin.. her birthday is 2 Sept. 

Still waiting to hear from the VA on my appeal.. for some reason unknown, no one on our entire block has received any snail mail since Wed.. had normal delivery that day, then Thursday.. nothing.. no pickup, no delivery.. Friday and Saturday-same thing.. going to go tomorrow to the local office and try and figure out what the samhill is going on down there!  Very weird that NO ONE in this area is getting any of our mail.

New Server!

well i got some extra cash and i finally was able to buy a new server!  fed up with iicinternet constantly screwing up, so after 10 yrs, i’ve moved on.   so give me a week or so to get all the pages and programs moved to the new site okie dokes?  most of the pages are working now, but i’m busy busy moving all the HUGE progs and such, and that will take a while.  I have about 50 Gigs of stuff to move, so you’re gonna have to be patient! *grin*.. for those who have access to some of my private pages, u know what i’m talking about  

Hope everyone had a great 4^th of July!  I went downtown to D.C. and did some sight-seeing.  Was a great parade, but i couldn’t see much of it, cuz i was in my roomie’s scooter and was too far back to see over the crowd on the street.  Had some great bands though and some really nice floats that i could see through the ‘cracks’ in the crowd.   Then i went thru the White House visitor center, and that was really kewl.  They did a re-enactment of the signing of the Declaration of Independance, and had the audience act out certain folks.  It was fascinating.  I was going to go thru the National Aquarium, but.. it costs 7 bucks to get in and all there are is about 30 small aquariums with guppies and such in em.. nutty.. so i skipped that.   Went into the Ronald Reagan Building, but it’s mostly just offices and such.. although they have a really nice atrium that is so huge!!!!  And a food court that puts any ‘mall’ court to shame.  

I had my first Sabrett hotdog! yummm.. they really are good and I have to say it was as good or better than my fav brand, Ball Park.

another format

well, had to format again.. this time did a format of my MBR also, which i didn’t do last time, and soooo.. the bug i caught from before was still there after the last format.. sooooo.. everything is VERY clean now! lol.. i’m soooo tired.. and still have a ton of re-installing to do.. oh well, will get to it little at a time

you may have noticed i haven’t updated my progs page or anything else for a while.. i’m going to be moving my server next week to something more reliable.. iic has been good for a lot of years, but since they started all their dammed upgrades and ‘improvements’, my server has gone to shit.. so.. after 9 yrs.. it’s sayonara time.. about the middle of july i should have everything transferred and running in top shape, so u’ll start seeing updates more often.

OH yeah, fergot to tell ya.. my VA Appeal FINALLY went to the BVA Judge the last week of May!!!! yeaaaah.. they musta sent it the day after i called em to see if they had sent it yet.. lol.. and my left hand has been itching like crazy off and on for the last week.. and i always get money in a couple days after it starts itching… sooooooooo.. am waiting on my letter from the VA saying my appeal has been approved and my big check will go to the bank on the 1^st! weeeee.  oh and the really funny part of the whole deal with my evil sister?.. she signed a paper years ago when i first got my attorneys.. stating that she’d pay my attorney fees when my appeal is approved.. LAFFIN.. that will come to about 20 grand or more depending on when they backdate my appeal to.  I’m gonna make her sweat it out for a week or so trying to figure out #1: how she’s gonna pay it.. and #2: let her try and find me to get the money from me! LOL.

well, am all moved !! took two days to unload the truck, but it was worth it.  Had to do most of it in one day on account of it rained the night i got here and most of the next day.  But i’m loving the weather here, has been so cool! had a couple days in the triple-digits but humidity was so low, felt like high 70s .  has been in mid to low 70s ever since then.yep, i can get used to this nawthern weather real quick

All the cats and the rabbit made the trip very well.  no problems until i got about 50 miles south of where i was going, trying to outrun a thunderstorm in Virginia, when the wiper blades broke.. aaaack.. took 1.1/2 hours for the repair guy to get there and he explained on GMC trucks, they put in a safety switch on the wipers that if u run them on high—they’ll pop off the mount rather than let the wiper motor burn up.. so let that be a notice to any of yas that have GMC vehicles.. don’t use the high-speed wipers for more than a few minutes at a time or u’ll be stuck in a downpour with no wipers at all!

other than the outrageous price of gas, the whole trip was pretty uneventful.  The cheapest gas i found was for 3.71 in South Carolina and for 3.77 in Virginia.. everywhere else was 3.99 and up, so i didn’t fill up at them places! lol.
